Cell Lines
The Biorepository is not accepting any cell line requests at this time. Please check back for updates on when services will resume.
We have analyzed our cell lines by the PowerPlex16 System (Promega Corp.) and typed the cells at 15 STR loci and Amelogenin (Penta E, D18S51, D21S11, TH01, D3S1358, FGA, TPOX, D8S1179, vWA, Amelogenin, Penta D, CSF1PO, D16S539, D7S820, D13S317 and D5S818). Based on the 8 STR loci used by the ATCC, our lines do not match any of the 1523 commonly used cell lines analyzed by the ATCC. The data from this analysis and the passage number tested will be distributed with each of the following cell lines:
ID | Histology | Sex | Age |
---|---|---|---|
SF126 | Glioblastoma Multiforme | F | 50 |
SF188 | Glioblastoma Multiforme | M | 8 |
SF210 | Glioblastoma Multiforme | F | 72 |
SF295 | Glioblastoma Multiforme | F | 67 |
SF763 | Glioblastoma Multiforme, Recurrent | F | 36 |
NOTE: We are no longer distributing the SF767 or SF268 cell lines. SF539 is on hold until further notice.
Before we can make the cells available, we willl need to execute a simple Material Transfer Agreement between our institutions. Please provide the following information:
- Name, title and email of the Principal Investigator
- Name, title and email of a person at your institution authorized to approve MTAs -- usually someone in legal, technology management or purchasing.
- Billing contact person - name, title, email, billing address (UCSF will invoice during next billing cycle) The cost for providing these cells is: $378.00 per aliquot for non-UCSF investigators.
- Exact shipping address
- FedEx account number
Once we receive the information, we will prepare the MTA document and return to you for signatures (PI and legal representative need to sign). Please contact Anny Shai, PhD (anny.shai@ucsf.edu) if you have any questions or concerns.
